Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Augusta, Georgia website. The Downtown Kiwanis Club of Augusta was founded in 1920 and has been one of Augusta’s premier civic clubs ever since. With more than 230 members, the Augusta Kiwanis Club is the 4th largest Kiwanis club in the world. We're proud of our membership given there are Kiwanis clubs in more than 80 countries worldwide.
The Kiwanis Club of Augusta meets weekly for lunch in the upstairs River Room at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church located at 605 Reynolds Street, Augusta 30901. The diverse membership is comprised of business people, professionals, educators, community volunteers, and others who meet to hear interesting programs and to enjoy each other’s company. Recent past speakers include the First Lady of Georgia, members of Congress, Consuls general, the Chancellor of the University System of Georgia, and leaders of major business and industry.
The club has an endowment that awards scholarships to schools, and gifts to deserving organizations in our community. Although we do not have any fund-raising projects, we do offer our members the opportunity to participate in service projects for various good causes in Augusta and our surrounding communities. The service projects allow us to give back to our community; and also give us further opportunities to fellowship together. Giving to the endowment and serving on various projects are all voluntary activities.
Membership in the Augusta Kiwanis Club is by invitation only. If you would like to know more, or if you believe you would like to become a member, please contact a member of our club.
